Mumbai, June 2025 – Dairykhata, a digital dairy management platform founded by Venugopal Naidu Puvvada, is gaining traction as a technology-driven solution aimed at supporting India’s 80 million smallholder dairy farmers. Designed to enhance livestock oversight and operational efficiency, the platform aligns with national objectives, including improving rural incomes and modernising agriculture.
Background and Development The idea for Dairykhata emerged following field visits in Andhra Pradesh, where Puvvada observed challenges related to the management of non-milking cattle. Supported by grassroots research in over 100 villages and collaborations with organisations such as the Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh, the platform was developed to provide farmers with structured, digital cattle management tools.
Current Reach and Usage As of 2025, Dairykhata manages over 2.5 million livestock records and tracks approximately 500,000 litres of milk per day. It facilitates over ₹100 crore in transactions annually. Users have reported financial benefits, citing reduced feed wastage, early detection of health issues, and improved cost control.
