UPITS 2026 Attracts ₹695 Crore Dairy Investment Proposals in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 has generated investment proposals worth ₹695.18 crore from 22 dairy companies, with the proposed projects expected to create employment opportunities for more than 2,500 people across the state.

The proposals were received through the Dairy Development Department during the trade show and have been submitted under the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development and Dairy Products Promotion Policy-2022. The proposed investments cover several districts and are aimed at strengthening dairy-related business activity and employment in the state.

Ace International Leads Investment Proposals

Ace International Ltd. has submitted the largest investment proposal among the participating dairy companies. The company plans to invest ₹457 crore across Hathras, Aligarh and Agra.

According to the company, the proposed investment is expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 1,500 youths. Focus on Dairy Sector Development

The investment proposals were received through the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development Department as part of the state’s efforts to attract private investment into the dairy and dairy-products sector.

The department’s participation at UPITS 2026 also brought together cooperative and private dairy businesses. Companies and brands including Parag-Amul, Namaste India, Paras Dairy, Gyan Dairy, New Era Dairy, Alpha Milk Foods and CP Milk participated in the event.

Officials from the Dairy Development Department provided information to investors and visitors about government schemes and opportunities available under the state’s dairy policy.

Dairy Commissioner Dhanlakshmi K. said the department had received investment proposals totaling ₹695.18 crore and that the proposals were expected to be implemented across multiple districts. She also stated that the department would continue efforts to attract additional investors and connect young people with employment opportunities.

Employment and Regional Expansion

The proposed investments could contribute to the expansion of dairy-related economic activity beyond major urban centers. Projects planned for districts such as Hathras, Aligarh, Agra, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Meerut and Bareilly could create opportunities across different parts of Uttar Pradesh.

For the dairy sector, investment in processing, manufacturing and related activities can support local supply chains involving milk producers, collection networks, logistics providers, packaging businesses and other service providers. The actual scale of these effects, however, will depend on the implementation of the proposed projects.

The proposals also reflect the role of state-level policy in attracting private investment into dairy processing and value-added dairy products. Uttar Pradesh is one of India’s major milk-producing states, making investment in processing and dairy infrastructure relevant to the development of its broader dairy economy.

The ₹695.18 crore proposal pipeline announced at UPITS 2026 therefore represents a significant set of planned investments for the state’s dairy sector. The next stage will involve translating the proposals into projects on the ground, subject to applicable approvals, implementation schedules and other requirements.
