Uttar Pradesh Leads India’s Dairy Production
Uttar Pradesh accounted for 15.66% of India’s total milk production in 2024-25, maintaining its position as the country’s largest milk-producing state.
Rajasthan followed with a 14.82% share, while Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra occupied the next three positions.
The top five milk-producing states together contributed 54.09% of India’s total milk production, highlighting their importance to India’s dairy supply chain.
